Superbreak Mini-Holidays Limited
Last updated: 4th August 2019 - 4.10pm
Superbreak Mini-Holidays Ltd (ABTA Y1453) has ceased trading on 1 August 2019
Superbreak Mini-Holidays Ltd, trading as Super Break was a Member of ABTA.
We have identified all of our customers who have a booking with Superbreak and we have the following advice for all World Travel Lounge customers.
We have contacted all customers to advise them of the current ongoing situation of Superbreak being in administration and this page is an advice page to advise what is happening with your booking. We are working hard to establish which, if any, of the elements of your holiday have been affected.
If you have booked a holiday with Super Break, we regret that all bookings that have not departed may be cancelled. The vast majority of holidaymakers’ travel arrangements will be covered through one of a number of different types of financial protection.
We had no customers on holiday at the time of Superbreak's collapse.
Whilst this news may be extremely upsetting for you, please be assured if your holiday was booked with Superbreak, we are here to help you.
We have specific advice for customers, which will vary depending on the type of booking that you have made. It is very important that you follow this advice closely.
Customers booked with a Flight + Hotel or + Car Hire
Your holiday is fully ATOL Protected and will either go ahead as planned, go ahead with an additional (reclaimable) payment by yourself to your hotel operator or you'll receive a full refund from the CAA ATOL scheme.
Our team will be in touch with you to discuss individual options in relation to your booking.
Customers booked on a UK Rail + Hotel Package
This package is fully ABTA bonded which means that your money is safe. We have contacted all hotels for our customers and whilst we are awaiting some hotel chains to come back to us with final details - all hotels, unfortunately, have not been paid by Superbreak. This means that you will be asked to make an additional payment to secure your hotel booking. This money is fully reclaimable from ABTA and our store teams will assist you in completing this claim.
All of our customers are in receipt of their rail tickets. These are still valid for travel. Please keep them extremely safe as lost, damaged or defaced tickets that are not deemed valid for travel by National Rail cannot be replaced as we have no access to the Superbreak systems that we used to book these.
We have no way of reserving seats for you on flexible tickets. Please go to a manned train station to complete this or call your train operator directly.
Customers booked on a UK Hotel Only booking
These bookings are not protected by either the ABTA or ATOL scheme which means that there is no financial protection in place for these bookings. In line with the Co-operative Travel Consortium we have made the decision to allow customers to re-book these hotels at a cost to our business.
You will be required to complete an Indemnity Form in store and the hotel cost covered by us will only be up to the value of your original booking. Our store team will be in touch with you shortly to go through the available options to you.
We're getting in touch...
We're working hard to get in touch with all of our customers to advise you of all available options to you. We have many customers who are affected by the collapse of Superbreak and we're contacting customers in departure date order to give you the options available to you. Please bear with us as this is a lengthy process but we will be in touch as soon as we have an update for you.
Finally, our thoughts are with all of our travel industry colleagues at Superbreak and the Malvern Group who now face an uncertain future in light of this very sad news.
